• The database server is up and running - there may be further slight changes required
• Web front-end for school pupils is in development
• Questionnaire sections have been prototyped and are available but still sparse
• Functionality to handle incoming data has started development, but is not yet available

Further details

The questionnaire form - whilst certainly still not operational - only requires a little more technical development; the main focus for current development should be on ensuring the questionnaire structure meets requirements. I will email Ged about to confirm those details, and continue work on that next.

Now that the database server is in place and the structure of the underlying data becomes clearer, it is possible to start planning the admin functionality in more depth; however this can wait until the questionnaire are developed further.

Details required to clarify questionnaire structure:

• should the sections all be on one web page, or should the user be guided through them individually
• should schools be a drop-down list of partners, or free for users to enter new schools
• should there be a list of interests to choose from or should it be free text - or a combination of both
• should qualifications be restricted to a defined list or free text
• should there be a list of universities / colleges to choose from, or free text
• have I missed out any obvious sections
